Fishbon Event Lab (One Day on Earth Preview, potluck)

Fishboners, Jon Smith and Ethan Turpin have been working on a very cool film project along with hundreds of other teams across the world and we'll get a sneak peek at this Wednesday's Event Lab. In order to document the light specific to 10.10.10, Ethan and Jon used San Francisco's TransAmerica Building as a sun dial.  The goal of the day was to find and record the shadow's point at noon within the city's grid.  In doing so they experienced a sense of the Earth's rotation and a timeless relationship to the sun with in the bustle of a contemporary urban environment. You can be a part of cinema history this Earth Day and join countries around the world in the global screening of "One Day on Earth" at 7pm at the Metro 4 on Earth Day, Sunday April 22.  All proceeds made by One Day on Earth will go to support screenings in the developing world.
