Dress Up, Live Now
In case you missed last Thursday's opening of the Standard Deviation show, or even if you didn't, you'll want to catch the closing night madness at the 4,000 square foot storefront facing Paseo Nuevo mall. The show brings alternative, Fishbon-style art into a space right next to the bustling heart of Fiesta, De La Guerra Plaza. Entitled “Standard Deviation,” the gallery show is curated by filmmaker, writer and artist Ted Mills and media artist Marco Pinter, and includes interactive sculptures, projection and video work, along with painting, photography, and multi-media works. The evening will feature dance performances, DJs spinning dance tracks, abstract and alternative video screenings, and music performances. A majority of the artists are Santa Barbara-based.
