Fishbon Santa Barbara

Dress Up, Live Now

Anyone interested in creating or reviving and art car this year?

I havent experienced the bar car, but is that an option? Is my trailer around still? If we are going to Burning man, seems silly to step down from the glories of transporation to a bike. Maybe we could pimp out the coffin car,(is it up on the hill?) or find something newish and make it our own

I think coffin car and trailer are up on the hill, Michael Peake likely has details. I would enjoy working on the little beast or almost another other beast. I think barcar is being raised from near-death, many parties seem interested in it.
I would love to revive that bar car, too. I emailed the Clan Destino peeps but have not gotten word of any plans. I suggested we remodel it locally this summer with the Fishbon peeps. We see...
Did not know Miss Tracy, that you have a BM trailer here. Ether way, we all are going and need lots of fun toys to accompany us. So cool...
Well with the trailer, and a crew with a willing attitudes I think the genie will grant us our wish.Maybe even something different, what do we have to work with? I only have the cushman coffin car and trailer SO FAR, any police auctions coming up?Ive never seen a photo of the barcar, if its spoken for dare we reproduce a modified version?Maybe Uncle Ted could set us up with an old limo we could convert, i want one.
YES, i don't know how i could help, but yes.

And here is my latest design plan for building a Sk8boardhopper.  It may look strange at first glance, yet this is a true 'land plane' that uses a fraction of the energy necessary to transport the same amount of weight!

This latest Chariot design will also fold-up, to become a flatbed trailer and carry all of the gear to Burningman 2012!

I have something else to offer if interested...I have a 50 foot long trailer that was used to carry an outrigger canoe...It is very long, slender (3' wide by 50' long), not too tall, and would make for the most awesome traveling bar.

Mission and Purpose

Fishbon’s Purpose:
Fishbon's purpose is to provide a forum, education and support for creative collaboration, mentorship and the visceral experience of visual, aural and performance-based art.  It is also to provide exhibition media for the artists and their art forms.

Fishbon’s Mission:
Fishbon's mission is to encourage collaboration between artists, technologists, writers, designers, performers and participants to create unique, real-time, compelling aesthetic experiences that speak to contemporary audiences.  Fishbon believes the synergy (sharings of perspectives and skills) made possible in a collaborative space creates a unique and special context for art.  By providing context, physical infrastructure, tools, mentoring support and encouragement for creative collaboration, Fishbon is an experiential incubator for emerging cooperative working models.  Much more about the process experience than final product, Fishbon creates a diverse "interactive" learning community that would be difficult to achieve in isolated individual working environments.

Fishbon is a 501 (c) (3) arts organization
