Pyrobar and its Playastanis

The Pyrobar, a Burningman classic, was originally created by Clan Destino. Now back in SB it received a new look to resembling a Pakistan Jingle truck. It has been at 5 major Burner related events in the last 6 month. Join here to get updates.

Thank you all for helping us bringing her back to this years Burningman!

We have been so thrilled to work with you all on the latest revival of the mighty Pyrobar. There are not enough words to express the gratitude we feel toward you all. In its rich history (in burner terms), many have supported it with their blood and sweat, and it made the Pyrobar the very dear and special thing it is. Now it is time to simply enjoy it in its present "glory" and have some plain silly fun. The LA decompression party was a fantastic event and we had a great time. The local fire troops and aerialists jointed forces to create the "Playastanis", a wonderful show-thank you all! We bring her out again for the Fishbon wacky xmas event, mid December, if not before ;-)

I have loads, here's a few.Time for a new color scheme!  It's been through several over the years, lots of red and black.  Perhaps something completely different?  Say, yellow?  White, even?  Or…Continue

Hi Guys,
little travel up date! Mark and I are in Truckee California, the last DMV before Reno. The historical pride of Truckee rests on the fact that all these new imigrants got stuck here in a horrible winter early 18 hundrets and started to eat each other, yum! ( Story writen on all the restaurant menus). It's snowing right now like a motherfucker and people in town playing a game by turning street signs to disorient people like us... Local freaks! We got the car full of tools, gas, car fluids etc, all to help us get the beast going. Wish us luck for the drive back!!! If all goes well, we should hit the Barcar storage next and hope to return to SB by tomorrow- with the Barcar!!!! yeahhhh

Great Scott Richard! We are going to be back on the 12 or 13th with the beast. Your Fraunche energy and Superhero strength will come in very handy.... The 5th is when we plan on doing the fundraiser. Drop a call or email directly any time, and we'll coordinate: mark@grnr.com 626 215 1793

I will be part of it. Let me know if I can help in any way, for the fundraising or to pick up the beast.

It's coming soon:Barcar Fundraiser on June 5th!!!
We are getting ready to fetch the mighty beast this Sunday and are planning the Barcar fundraiser for Saturday, June 5th. This fundraiser will help gather the money needed for its repairs, killer transformation and old storage fees, so that the glorious Barcar can once again glide across the Playa this year !! We are not sure about the location yet but a bunch of cool people are going to be there and it will be a blast. Please be part of this and save the date.

We are planning to drive to Reno in the early part of May and fetch the beast. We could possibly use a mechanic or technically inclined person to join us. Soon after, we are planning a fundraiser event. It looks like some of our fabulous Fire peeps would do a show for the event. There also might be an auction. I hope the barcar will be pouring many drinks that night.

I have little more to offer than hours of hard work to make this happen, but I have that in spades.

Mission and Purpose

Fishbon’s Purpose:
Fishbon's purpose is to provide a forum, education and support for creative collaboration, mentorship and the visceral experience of visual, aural and performance-based art.  It is also to provide exhibition media for the artists and their art forms.

Fishbon’s Mission:
Fishbon's mission is to encourage collaboration between artists, technologists, writers, designers, performers and participants to create unique, real-time, compelling aesthetic experiences that speak to contemporary audiences.  Fishbon believes the synergy (sharings of perspectives and skills) made possible in a collaborative space creates a unique and special context for art.  By providing context, physical infrastructure, tools, mentoring support and encouragement for creative collaboration, Fishbon is an experiential incubator for emerging cooperative working models.  Much more about the process experience than final product, Fishbon creates a diverse "interactive" learning community that would be difficult to achieve in isolated individual working environments.

Fishbon is a 501 (c) (3) arts organization
