Pyrobar and its Playastanis

The Pyrobar, a Burningman classic, was originally created by Clan Destino. Now back in SB it received a new look to resembling a Pakistan Jingle truck. It has been at 5 major Burner related events in the last 6 month. Join here to get updates.

Thank you all for helping us bringing her back to this years Burningman!

We have been so thrilled to work with you all on the latest revival of the mighty Pyrobar. There are not enough words to express the gratitude we feel toward you all. In its rich history (in burner terms), many have supported it with their blood and sweat, and it made the Pyrobar the very dear and special thing it is. Now it is time to simply enjoy it in its present "glory" and have some plain silly fun. The LA decompression party was a fantastic event and we had a great time. The local fire troops and aerialists jointed forces to create the "Playastanis", a wonderful show-thank you all! We bring her out again for the Fishbon wacky xmas event, mid December, if not before ;-)

I vote for green and purple . Purple  as a nod to walkabout woods and green because of the contrast, besides it's my fav color

This year, pyrobar car, I will be a much more skilled and sober aerialist and I will grace you as well as I can. :)

PYROBAR toil times: Every weekend and evenings/// like a strong cell phone call plan. We are in full bore mode with adding the fire components, finishing the mechanical fixings, adding electric, priming rusty bits, etc. We are ready for chain hanging projects, Aesthetic plotting and shrouding work. It's starting to get pretty exciting.

Is there something going on this weekend. I might need a break from the laptop!

I work on the weekends, but I'd love to put on a BBQ session in the evenings once I'm off for those who have been slaving away all day. I'm out of town for the week, but once I'm back, it's on...

Hello Bar Car/Pyro Heads out in the ether. This weekend is a Pyrobar party to meet up and see what is going on. Sunday 1 pm. As ma'lady said, we are looking for antique/aged Tibetan, Indian, Afghani, Chinese... furniture, prayer boxes, brass and copper, cloth, trinkets, chains, chains, and more chains. All of this will be aid to dress up and live... soon on the playa. There are many tasks, big and small, so if you're hanker'n for a project to play with, this is goodie. The wood/furniture needs are to redress the cowl/hood area. DMV has stated that concern as well as the smart burners that we know. So, we will abide.... with strange and passionate fervor!!! please contact me at this portal, mark@grnr.com, or 626 215 1793 to toss ideas, stuff and frisky work hands into the mix.

Mission and Purpose

Fishbon’s Purpose:
Fishbon's purpose is to provide a forum, education and support for creative collaboration, mentorship and the visceral experience of visual, aural and performance-based art.  It is also to provide exhibition media for the artists and their art forms.

Fishbon’s Mission:
Fishbon's mission is to encourage collaboration between artists, technologists, writers, designers, performers and participants to create unique, real-time, compelling aesthetic experiences that speak to contemporary audiences.  Fishbon believes the synergy (sharings of perspectives and skills) made possible in a collaborative space creates a unique and special context for art.  By providing context, physical infrastructure, tools, mentoring support and encouragement for creative collaboration, Fishbon is an experiential incubator for emerging cooperative working models.  Much more about the process experience than final product, Fishbon creates a diverse "interactive" learning community that would be difficult to achieve in isolated individual working environments.

Fishbon is a 501 (c) (3) arts organization
