Is this cell still active. If so, when? If not, I want to restart it.

I love the idea Clay mentioned about creating vignettes with our group and using them as short pieces that can be plugged in at any event, at any occasion. Thursdays would work fine I think. We can all share ideas, build our vignettes together or do them solo. Wednesdays at Pesci could be a good testing ground for such things. How fun.

I love all types of performing...I am a trained singer (still more to learn)...love acting, fire dancing, arts of all kinds…I work 40 hours a week and I am doing full time school online so I would have to find some more time, but I think I will be making time for this no matter what…just wish I could be at Fishbon every night!

Love the idea of focused subgroups and performance cell as high level visioning.... We might start by envisioning what audience we attract, then break and what we elicit in/from them. Subgroups shoot off from there to achieve a depth focus toward larger context ... I'll see you on 2/22 (two is about organizing detail in numerology ;-) P)

Good idea. I think the first meeting could be Monday the 22nd, and we can then discuss other nights or breaking off in smaller focus groups.

It seems like people are down for every second and 4th Monday for Performance cell, There's a special Doc Night next Monday (to coincide with the Film Fest, so the date of our first meeting looks like February 22. Is 8pm a good time for everyone?

There's lots of interest in this cell (cool). What do you all think about dividing the cell into perfomance areas (theatre, dance, band/orchestra, new cirque, magic, vocal music, etc.)? If each subgroup met at least every other week and developed pieces that could be integrated into larger events, we would be creating an insane amount of fabulous shit. I'm just thinking that if we're too general, we won't get deep enough to produce finished pieces. Or, alternatively, we could keep the general cell for integrating, concept and high level stuff and also do sub cells.

Mission and Purpose

Fishbon’s Purpose:
Fishbon's purpose is to provide a forum, education and support for creative collaboration, mentorship and the visceral experience of visual, aural and performance-based art.  It is also to provide exhibition media for the artists and their art forms.

Fishbon’s Mission:
Fishbon's mission is to encourage collaboration between artists, technologists, writers, designers, performers and participants to create unique, real-time, compelling aesthetic experiences that speak to contemporary audiences.  Fishbon believes the synergy (sharings of perspectives and skills) made possible in a collaborative space creates a unique and special context for art.  By providing context, physical infrastructure, tools, mentoring support and encouragement for creative collaboration, Fishbon is an experiential incubator for emerging cooperative working models.  Much more about the process experience than final product, Fishbon creates a diverse "interactive" learning community that would be difficult to achieve in isolated individual working environments.

Fishbon is a 501 (c) (3) arts organization
