I'm wondering if there's a way to post or display projects we're working on that we would like advice or help with on Friday night. Not sure what form it would take, but something like "This Friday's…Continue

Hi J,
The Fishbon Pescadrome is at 101 S. Quarantina. You can park on the street or in the parking lot after 6pm. Looking forward to seeing you there.

Hey Friends,

I'm new to your community. Can someone let me know where the Fishbon Pescadrome is? I would love to start coming to your events!

I think that would really be cool, people can check on line what's up and when it all happens. We have 3 main floors, and particular times that the places are available. Let's rock the Pesci! I love it to be super energetic and alive... it's alive... ahhhhhhh

This is cool, how about something like the BarCamp model online so people don't actually have to go to the Pescadfrome to post. Not that many people have keys.

Corrina brings up a good point about the efficient utilization of the space, and for this I provide a geeky solution.
anyone Familiar with BarCamps? if yes you know where I'm going, if not allow me to explain.
A barcamps are geek "un-conferences" that occur in many cities around the US, they operate around a bulletin board with grid of various rooms over a timeline, anyone who'd like to give a presentation or host a workshop or do whatever is free to put a stickynote on the board, reserving their space and time.
they end up looking like this http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3069/3019536411_6297c3e12a.jpg

I find they work quite well for large volumes of people all wanting to share something. it might seem tedious for a small event, but it's worth a shot.

In my warehouse I found that everything tended to be cluttered up to about 4 feet. Maybe we can make use of some of the higher empy spaces, not in the performance area, for storage of once a year stuff.

Right on Corinna---with dj music available on all three levels.

It is se up for contstruction and painting downstairs already, with some reorganizing of space. On can get messy down there. I love it and need it.

You are right about the funf shei or whatever of the building. Chaos reigns when ZIve visited and I thought what a cool problem to have! People are feeling it and more comfortable, now maybe its just dialing it in t make it perfect.

Can we post when no one is going to show or when folks are going to be creating?

I would love to see us use the site more wisely, the building and painting could occur in the downstairs workshop, classes can be taught in the lounge, and I would love to see the performance space open and clean for simply that. How about working on setting up a media space soon? I am a firm believer that a correctly designed space fosters great activities.

Mission and Purpose

Fishbon’s Purpose:
Fishbon's purpose is to provide a forum, education and support for creative collaboration, mentorship and the visceral experience of visual, aural and performance-based art.  It is also to provide exhibition media for the artists and their art forms.

Fishbon’s Mission:
Fishbon's mission is to encourage collaboration between artists, technologists, writers, designers, performers and participants to create unique, real-time, compelling aesthetic experiences that speak to contemporary audiences.  Fishbon believes the synergy (sharings of perspectives and skills) made possible in a collaborative space creates a unique and special context for art.  By providing context, physical infrastructure, tools, mentoring support and encouragement for creative collaboration, Fishbon is an experiential incubator for emerging cooperative working models.  Much more about the process experience than final product, Fishbon creates a diverse "interactive" learning community that would be difficult to achieve in isolated individual working environments.

Fishbon is a 501 (c) (3) arts organization
