How lucid dreams have changed me...

Lucid dreams were something I never really thought about and maybe had a couple of times over a life time...but what do you do when you don't even understand what is happening...?

When Johan first introduced me to what they were and how they worked I didn't think too much of it...till I started realizing that I was having them more and more often...because I knew about them...at least that is how I think of it...

After just practicing a few times within my lucid dreams I was able to figure out what worked and what didn’t.

1. First I have to set an intention (which I have found actualizes a Lucid dream for me…if I try to make a dream lucid when I don’t have an intention it takes me too long to figure out what I want to do and therefore I wake from the dream before I can take charge).
2. When I figure out that I am dreaming I remember my intention and take myself to the dream I want to have.

These two easy steps lead me to very powerful lucid dreams

A few days ago I had an amazing Lucid dream…I had set an intention and was able to not only create a creature I wanted to interact with; it took me several tries to make it happen. I tried to create it, but it ended up being robotic, but I want it to be organic…it took be three tries…which then leads me to believe that I am able to create anything I want, because even though I failed I had many chances to perfect my minds eye.

I mention this, because I now know that lucid dreaming is not just for people like me and Jonah that have sleep disorders, but for anyone that wants to learn how…come to the workshop and take home some tips…with these tips you can create your own dreams…live in a fantasy or see your deepest desires without a conscious rational mind…in a dream you can be anything, go anywhere, and feel anything…swim to the deepest part of the ocean…fly past stars…When you are in a lucid dream it is very different than a regular dream…when you have control (when you learn to have control) you can feel the difference…it is not just a flying dream…where you can see things around you…it is a dream that you make up…that you are aware of and that changes how deeply you connect to it…

ok...let me try to figure out how then I will...I haven't gotten really far in the dreams...just realizing that I am dreaming and then try to control it...then they end pretty fast...next time I have one, I am going to try to just know and not control...that seems to wake me up...

Thanks for the invite... I'm glad to be a part of this.... I was part of a Mafia scheme recently, and aside from discovering Gandolfini fully clothed, wrapped in a shower curtain, hiding in a tub as an informant, the rest was standard dreaming. Much to learn... even more to fuck with.

Fishbon’s Mission:
Fishbon's mission is to encourage collaboration between artists, technologists, writers, designers, performers and participants to create unique, real-time, compelling aesthetic experiences that speak to contemporary audiences.  Fishbon believes the synergy (sharings of perspectives and skills) made possible in a collaborative space creates a unique and special context for art.  By providing context, physical infrastructure, tools, mentoring support and encouragement for creative collaboration, Fishbon is an experiential incubator for emerging cooperative working models.  Much more about the process experience than final product, Fishbon creates a diverse "interactive" learning community that would be difficult to achieve in isolated individual working environments.
