Dress Up, Live Now
Video Arts Cell takes place the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month from 7-9pm. In it we'll explore the art of projecting on unorthodox screens, play with all the cool equipment we have on hand, try out film making techniques, go on field trips, show and analyze videos that grab our fancy and possibly even create several cool installations. Hi everyone,
Video Arts Cell will begin a course of video arts knowledge starting Monday May 13th. 7- 9pm at the Pescadrome.
The goal of these classes is to disseminate the knowledge that both Ethan Turpin and I, Jon Smith, have gathered over the years regarding video production and presentation.
The classes will include:
• making usable footage
• editing footage
• creating textural videos
•applying effects to footage
• lighting
• sound
• where to find music and how to apply it in editing
• uploading videos to Vimeo and Youtube
• projectors for the un-iniciated
• projectors and screens
• playing with Modul8 (VJing plus)
• projection mapping
etc.
basically everything you need to know to have fun with video arts equipment
The first class in the series will be about using your video camera (iphones are perfectly acceptable) to create usable footage. Ethan taught me these techniques a while back and they have proved to be tremendously helpful.
The second class (May 27th) will be learning to edit the footage we make this coming Monday.
Want to learn the ins and outs of video production and presentation? Then join us! Suggested donation is $5.
This group does not have any discussions yet.
