Hey you all, we are opening the Pesci on Saturday night, starting at 8pm, to work in a fun environment on our costumes. Come bring your projects and some materials to share, if you have, and let's create something fabulous.

Come Friday April 15th, 7:30-11 pm to the Pescadrom and meet up with Rick, who will be teaching a fabulous sewing class:

"Friday night introduction into the exciting world of sewing. These classes are taught to simply show you how to make fun and creative fashion clothes and accessories. How to's, machine basics, contests and more.

This friday. Machine basics class. Going over threading, needle size and stitch guide. This will be an open event so feel free to come and use the space to sew and create."

Please visit the Fishbon site "Event" category to RSVP and check for more details.
Suggested donation to Fishbon; $10

We are combining the clothing swap (originally held on Thursday) and the costume making "Fashion cell" lock-in, this Friday night!!!

We begin the swap at 7pm. The costume making event will start at 8pm. If you can come early and help with the set-up, that would be super. The 8pm custome making event will be a good opportunity to get your outfit ready for the upcoming spring party, "Fishbon Chartreuse".  If you never came to a fashion lock-in before, it is a blast! We have workstations, sewing machines, supplies and DJ music (Thank you DJ's). The Pescadrom is a great working environment to play and create costumes for the party. We bought tons of amazing fabric we just picked up in LA; lots of chartreuse colored fabric and lots of other goodies.

For the clothing swap, please bring a little donation. Any clothing that we do not trade goes to the thrift shop. For the costume making fashion cell lock-in, poooohhh....that's long, please RSVP so we can plan the set-up for the workstations and please bring a $15 dollar supply donation for Fishbon.

You can come to our next fashion making evening on Friday March 25th, and get some help then, or call Ceci and see if she can help you. #450-9107

Hi folks! I need some help and I hope I'm posting this in the right place. I inherited a Brother sewing machine and need someone to teach me how to thread it and set it up. I'd be happy to work something out in trade for your time or pay you. Can anyone help me out or point me in the direction of local help? (SB/Goleta) thanks in advance!

Mission and Purpose

Fishbon’s Purpose:
Fishbon's purpose is to provide a forum, education and support for creative collaboration, mentorship and the visceral experience of visual, aural and performance-based art.  It is also to provide exhibition media for the artists and their art forms.

Fishbon’s Mission:
Fishbon's mission is to encourage collaboration between artists, technologists, writers, designers, performers and participants to create unique, real-time, compelling aesthetic experiences that speak to contemporary audiences.  Fishbon believes the synergy (sharings of perspectives and skills) made possible in a collaborative space creates a unique and special context for art.  By providing context, physical infrastructure, tools, mentoring support and encouragement for creative collaboration, Fishbon is an experiential incubator for emerging cooperative working models.  Much more about the process experience than final product, Fishbon creates a diverse "interactive" learning community that would be difficult to achieve in isolated individual working environments.
