You mention May being about Carnival...Would it not be much more fun and pagan, if we honor Beltane- May Day with some good old-fashioned bawdy Maypole Madness? Just gestating ideas...Horned Gods, Flowers, May Queens, etc..

This Wednesday we'll be field tripping again to Jill Littlewood's awesome studio on Pedregosa Street, which just happens to also be one of the two sites for the Twisted Village madness on May 22nd. Jill has perfected techniques for painting on fabric with dye and bleach to yield very cool patterns for costumes, fabric hangings and lots of other cool uses. Twisted Village Stage Fighting Workshop at J. and Jill's House

April 24, 2010 from 1pm to 3pm
So, there's a very cool battle scene in Twisted Village where everyone (Cones and Toruses) duke it out on the battlefield in between Troy and Athens (or whatever we end up calling them). But since we don't want anyone to be actually killed..or even maimed, we'll need to know how to "Stage Fight" How will we do that? J. Kahn and Jay Galvin will be teaching us how to have a blast with foam swords and come out unscathed. This will be fun, don't miss it.

Mission and Purpose

Fishbon’s Purpose:
Fishbon's purpose is to provide a forum, education and support for creative collaboration, mentorship and the visceral experience of visual, aural and performance-based art.  It is also to provide exhibition media for the artists and their art forms.

Fishbon’s Mission:
Fishbon's mission is to encourage collaboration between artists, technologists, writers, designers, performers and participants to create unique, real-time, compelling aesthetic experiences that speak to contemporary audiences.  Fishbon believes the synergy (sharings of perspectives and skills) made possible in a collaborative space creates a unique and special context for art.  By providing context, physical infrastructure, tools, mentoring support and encouragement for creative collaboration, Fishbon is an experiential incubator for emerging cooperative working models.  Much more about the process experience than final product, Fishbon creates a diverse "interactive" learning community that would be difficult to achieve in isolated individual working environments.

Fishbon is a 501 (c) (3) arts organization
